COVID safety standards & measures for all in-person courses

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ONE Lab monitors and updates its policies in accordance with public health measures and requirements to ensure the safety of all community members. Below are highlights of our COVID-19 policy as of May 2023. For more information about COVID-19 and resources please click here or here.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

Proof of complete vaccination is required for all students. Please be prepared to present one of the following when you arrive, in addition to a government-issued photo ID for adults:

  • New York State’s Excelsior Pass or Excelsior Pass Plus

  • NYC COVID Safe App

  • Official vaccination card or a paper copy

  • Photo of your vaccination card on your mobile device

In-person (Concentration courses) Summer Studio students are required to be fully vaccinated and to show their proof of vaccine on or before the first day of in-person instruction. If proof is submitted before, we will accept emailed photos of the student’s vaccination card or screenshot of the NYS Excelsior or NYC COVID Safe pass. Send any documentation to info@onelab.org

Testing

Students are required to present a recent negative rapid COVID-19 test on their first day of class.

Face Masks

For all visitors and staff, face masks are optional. ONE Lab reserves the right to change this policy as we monitor and respond to CDC and NY State health guidelines.

Additional Safety Measures

The following measures reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure to you, other students, and our staff:

  • Please be mindful of others and maintain distance between others whenever possible.

  • In the 7 days leading up to your first day of class, if you or anyone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19 or has experienced COVID-19 symptoms please notify ONE Lab at info@onelab.org immediately

  • All program participants and staff are encouraged to wash and/or sanitize their hands frequently

  • The affected student will not be allowed to return to class until they can provide a negative COVID-19 test or a doctor’s clearance. Refunds are not issued for student illness, including COVID-19.
