Curriculum
Learn the basic software commands in Rhino 7 needed for 3D design.
Workshop open to students of ALL ages, from high school to professionals and lifelong learners.
Beyond acquiring technical software skills, you’ll learn how to take a project from conceptual form to rendering, ending with your own 3D sculpture or wearables (think: holiday gifts!).
In-person sessions are at ONE Lab’s home space, the Terreform ONE studio at New Lab, a home to innovative tech entrepreneurs.
Remote students will Zoom in, and send their renderings to be printed at New Lab (extra shipping costs may apply).
In four course modules over two Saturdays, you’ll learn to create surfaces from two-dimensional drawings by using Rhino. Through a process of projection, you’ll construct models that explore the ways in which a particular software command can produce variation and complexity. Next, you’ll develop a wearable design constructed in Rhino, which will then be output as a physical model using an SLA 3D printer.
