Martina Decker is a partner at Decker Yeadon LLC in New York City. Her work focuses on combining architecture with chemistry and nanotechnology to generate solutions to critical issues such as water quality, energy conservation, and public health. She is currently  faculty at Cornell University School of Architecture. Decker Yeadon is known for innovation in sustainable design through emergent smart materials, and they were the first architects to develop an artificial building material that flexes like a muscle and could completely change the ways buildings are designed. Her firm's innovations range from building facade systems that maintain homeostasis by automatically responding to environmental conditions, to a "land art power generator" for the United Arab Emirates. Decker completed her architecture degree at the FH Munich Germany in 2004 and collaborated with practitioners in Germany, Italy, and Canada, before moving to New York in 2006.
